Privacy Policy
Summary
1% Alarm does not require an account and does not collect personal data. The camera is used only on your device, only while an alarm is ringing, and only to recognize the object you chose. No images or video ever leave your phone.
Data we collect
We do not collect personal data such as name, email, phone number, or location. We do not require account creation.
We use PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated product analytics — for example, which screens are opened and which features are used. These events do not include personal identifiers and are used solely to improve the app.
Camera
1% Alarm requests camera permission so it can recognize the object you selected when an alarm goes off. All image processing runs on-device using Google ML Kit. Camera frames are analyzed locally, are never recorded, and are never sent to us or to any third party.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives the minimum information required to validate purchases (such as an anonymous subscriber ID and your purchase token). Their handling of this data is governed by the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Third-party SDKs
1% Alarm uses only two third-party services: PostHog (anonymous analytics) and RevenueCat (subscription management). We do not use advertising SDKs, trackers, or social network SDKs.
Your rights (GDPR)
Because we do not collect personal data tied to your identity, there is generally nothing to request, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold any data about you, contact us and we will respond within 30 days. You can also reset your anonymous analytics identifier by reinstalling the app.
Data retention
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
- Analytics data (PostHog): Event and session data is retained for 12 months, after which it is automatically deleted.
- Purchase and subscription data (RevenueCat): Transaction records are retained for as long as your subscription is active and for up to 3 years after cancellation, as required for financial and legal compliance.
- Device data: Alarm settings and preferences are stored locally on your device and deleted when you uninstall the app. We have no access to this data.
You may request deletion of your analytics data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Children
1% Alarm is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
